Holy Mary-the Woman-Mother of God who conceives new Israel
Jesus calls His mother as Woman.The first part in the bible which reveals this is in the wedding of Cana.In the wedding at Cana of Galilee, Jesus calls his mother as 'Woman' and not lady.Woman means,having womb or conceive people. Actually speaking, a great delivery is going to be happen in Cana.Because bible starts like this,"In the beginning, when the God created the heavens and the earth,the earth was a formless void and darkness covered the face of the deep,while a wind from God swept over the face of the waters.Then God said,"Let there be light";and there was light."-Genesis 1:1-3.Thenceforth,light will be generate for future times,Mother-the Woman with womb, by faith new Israel going to conceive the children of God.
As St.John said in his gospel,"the true light,which enlightens everyone,was coming in to the world."-John 1:9. Yes..with this first sign of Jesus in Cana that revealed his glory(John 2:11),this light was going to enlighten the hearts of thousands of believers.Here it symbolizes that Mary in place of our father spells to Son of God-the creator-,"Let there be light'and there was light.Yes there was light of faith.The water in the Jars with God's wind turned to wine,became as the first sign of new Israel out of the faith.By seeing this miracle that revealed his glory,his desciples believed in him-John 2:11
In the book of revelation,the word says about this woman as the dragon stood before the woman who was about to bear a child,so that he might devour her child as soon it was born,the child was taken to God and the woman fled in to the wilderness-Revelation 12:4-6.When we read Genesis, again we see;darkness covered the face of the deep,while a wind from the God swept over the face of the waters. Then God said,"Let there be light";and there was light.Yes,the cosmos came in to exist with the power of spirit of God upon the depth and darkness.But this cosmos became sinful with the disobedience of Eve devoid of love and the God creates the new world - cosmos with the woman.That's why father said'"-I will put enmity between you and the woman,and between your offspring and hers."- Genesis 3:15.The book of revelation also explores this.Here dragon shows his enmity towards the children of woman-"dragon stood before the woman who was about to bear a child."-Revelation 12:4.Further in Revelation 12:17 word says," then the dragon went off to make war on the rest of her children,those who keep the commandments of God and hold the testimony of Jesus." For creating this enmity,there by creating a new world_God blessing the woman with womb and hears her word.Yes God heard her word in the wedding at Cana of Galilee,God's spirit swept over the water on stone jars;God said,"Let there be light"(Genesis 1: 3 )- let there be wine.Yes,she conceived, new wine-new Israel-new community .Her children are the 'new community'.So the word the woman has got indepth meaning.The word 'Mother' has got an emotional meaning.But morethan a mother she conceived new israel ,new chosen race,royal priesthood in her womb with the single word-"Fiyath"- 'Here am I servent of the Lord'-Luke 1:38.Yes with this single word she was appointed by God for conceiving new israel.Yes our Holy Mother,Morethan a mother she is Woman,having womb,who conceives new Israel.
